Titli
Titli is a 2014 Bollywood drama film directed by Kanu Behl and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films and Dibakar Banerjee Productions Pvt. Ltd. It features actors Ranvir Shorey, Amit Sial, Shashank Arora, Lalit Behl and Shivani Raghuvanshi in the lead roles. The International sales partner is Westend Films The film is expected to release at the end of the year 2014.
The directorial debut film was selected to take part in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. The only other Indian film selected for the year was an animation short.
Plot:
In the badlands of Delhi's underbelly, Titli, the youngest member of a violent car-jacking brotherhood, plots a desperate bid to escape the illegal 'family' business and an oppressive brother. His schemes are thwarted by his unruly brothers, who marry him off against his will. But Titli finds an unlikely ally in his new wife, Neelu, who nurtures her own frustrated dreams. They form a strange, mutually exploitative pact to break the stranglehold of their family roots.
